Bowling In Panama
So, Wednesy night we went out with some friends, and of all places we went bowling. If any of yall have ever heard my take on bowling you would kind of get the impression that, well to be nice I am just not fond of it. I think of it as more of a hobby than a sport (I think it's because I spent way too much time down in the WT bowling lanes for work). But, I decided to not a be a kill joy, and go and try to have fun. So we went bowling, and their bowling lanes are on the top floor of one of their buildings and it has a Bennigans up there with them. It was just the craziest thing I have ever seen in my life. When we got off the elivator there really wasnt much to see, it was a crapy wall, and then we turned the corner and started heading up a little ramp and then, I saw it, the bowling lanes. It was the craziest, coolest, nicest bolwing lanes I have ever seen in my life. There were onle 20, but, yes, there is a but, but, they had flat screen TV's for score keeping, 5 jumbo TV's that you could watch while throwing your ball, and the biggest bar that I have seen thats not in a bar. It was crazy, and then on the other side there was Bennigans. So, we got our shoes and went to our lanes, and instead of those ugly uncomfortable chairs, we sat in awesomely comfortabale leather sofas. It was crazy. So we sat down and then we had a Bennigans waiter bring us menus, so we had Bennigans for supper while bowling. Not the usual fatty fried stuff, that we have in the states, but Bennigans. How crazy. Instead of beer, we had margaritas, and awesome cocktails. Crazy. So we bowled for like 2 hours, and together for 5 people for the whole 2 hours, it was $40 plus $2.50 for shoes. I was like that is way cheap. We would have spent like that much each probably in the states. So, I said that to my friend, and she told me that only the rich can afford to go bowling or to the VIP movies because they are too expensive for everyone else. The VIP movies, which I was informed, cost about $6 (which I think is a little cheaper than the states) and whne your in the movie they brings you like hot restaraunt food, like hot wings, and you get to sit in like recliner chairs, so I will def have to go and check that out. And one more thing, which is, yes, crazy, they get to take the alcoholic beverages TO GO if they dont finish them, its like getting a coke or a tea to go. Hmmm, I am sure that would so not work in the states. Oh well, until next time.
